Genuine Sheepskin Leather Journal, Blank Chamois Paper | Full Wrinkled | Antique Resin Motif | Celtic Triskelion Shield
Every Vian journal begins as a raw piece of premium sheepskin leather, carefully measured, hand-cut, and shaped by skilled artisans. Each cover is crafted with precision and paired with professionally stitched inner pages that open fully flat at 180 degrees, delivering a seamless writing experience across every page.
What sets this series apart is its distinctive “Full Wrinkled” texture. The entire surface of the leather is covered with dense, hand-formed folds, giving each journal a raw, organic, and chaotic character. At the center, a hand-cast antique resin motif adds contrast and depth, creating the feeling of an ancient object—something that could have been carried through time like a spellbook or a forgotten travel diary.
This journal is designed for those drawn to mystery, fantasy, and storytelling—writers, artists, travelers, and anyone who wants to capture thoughts, sketches, or memories in something that feels timeless and alive. It also stands out as a meaningful, long-lasting gift, with leather that evolves beautifully over time.
🌱 100% Natural, Skin-Safe & Laboratory Tested
Crafted using traditional vegetable-tanned genuine sheepskin leather and colored with natural root dyes, this journal is completely free from harmful substances such as chrome and formaldehyde. Verified by university laboratory testing, it is safe for skin contact and environmentally responsible. Over time, the leather develops a rich patina, making each piece more unique with use.
🛠️ Handcrafted Full Wrinkled Texture
The entire surface of the leather is shaped by hand into dense folds, combined with a solid antique resin motif at the center. This creates a bold, ancient, and one-of-a-kind aesthetic that cannot be replicated.

📜 Eye-Friendly Vintage Chamois Paper
Made with SORA press yellow paper, an uncoated woodfree graphic paper in a warm chamois tone that reduces eye strain and complements the rustic leather look.
✍️ Smooth Writing Experience
70 g/m² paper with 91% opacity provides a balanced surface for ballpoint pens, gel pens, fine liners, and pencils. The natural uncoated texture ensures quick ink absorption for daily use.
📖 180° Lay-Flat Binding
The special stitched binding allows the journal to open completely flat, providing comfort and usability across the full page.
🧩 Naturally Unique
Each journal is individually handcrafted using genuine leather. Variations in color tone, texture, and wrinkle depth are natural and expected—this is what makes every piece truly one of a kind.
Please note: Due to the 70 g/m² paper weight, wet fountain pens or alcohol-based markers are not recommended, as they may cause bleed-through.
Made by hand. No two alike.
Every Vian journal passes through at least twelve pairs of hands before it reaches yours. Genuine full-grain leather, hand-sculpted and finished with antique brass hardware in our Antalya atelier.
Your customers don't
buy a journal.
They buy a feeling.
In a world of mass-produced notebooks, a Vian journal stops people in their tracks. The weight in the hand. The resistance of full-grain leather. The face staring back from the cover — sculpted by an artisan in Antalya who has been doing this for years. These are objects that demand to be picked up. And once picked up, they almost always sell themselves.
From hide to heirloom.
Every step by hand.

Leather Selection
Every journal begins with a single hide. Our leather specialist selects full-grain sheepskin by touch — feeling for the right density, natural grain, and character. Hides with imperfections are kept: they become the most interesting pieces.

Sculpting & Forming
The leather is dampened, stretched over a form, and worked by hand until it holds its shape. For 3D sculpted pieces, the artisan pushes the leather into relief from behind — a technique unchanged for centuries. No moulds. No machines. Just hands and patience.

Stitching & Binding
Covers are stitched with waxed thread pulled by hand through pre-punched holes. The binding holds 70gsm antique chamois paper — cream-toned, acid-free, with a texture that makes writing feel like an event. Pages are sewn in signatures, not glued.

Hardware & Finishing
Antique brass clasps are fitted by hand. Each one is tested — the click and resistance checked, the patina inspected. The journal is then buffed, conditioned, and wrapped. From selection to shipping, no two journals pass through exactly the same hands in exactly the same way.

Yes, genuinely. The hand-sculpting process combined with natural leather variation means every piece differs in texture, tone, and detail. This is not a marketing claim — it is a physical fact of how they are made. No two journals leave our atelier identical.
