Full Wrinkled & Antique Metal Motif – Handmade Leather Journal

Every journal begins as a raw piece of premium sheepskin leather, shaped entirely by hand by skilled artisans. The cover is carefully measured, cut, and formed, then paired with professionally stitched inner pages designed to open fully flat at 180 degrees.

What defines this series is its Full Wrinkled texture. The entire cover is enveloped in dense, handcrafted folds, creating a raw and organic surface. At the center, a heavy antique metal motif adds contrast with its cold, solid presence. Together, leather and metal create the feeling of a centuries-old artifact or a forgotten travel diary.

This journal is built for writers, travelers, history enthusiasts, fantasy lovers, and anyone drawn to timeless objects with weight and character. It is not just a notebook, it is a piece that ages with you, gaining depth and uniqueness over time.

🌱 100% Natural & Skin-Safe
Crafted using traditional vegetable-tanned sheepskin leather and natural root dyes. Free from chrome, formaldehyde, and harmful chemicals. Certified by university lab testing.

🖐️ Fully Handcrafted Structure
Each wrinkle, fold, and texture is formed by hand. The antique metal centerpiece is solid and weighty, giving the journal a strong, authentic presence.

Why This Journal Sells

Your customers don't
buy a journal.
They buy a feeling.

In a world of mass-produced notebooks, a Vian journal stops people in their tracks. The weight in the hand. The resistance of full-grain leather. The face staring back from the cover — sculpted by an artisan in Antalya who has been doing this for years. These are objects that demand to be picked up. And once picked up, they almost always sell themselves.

The Making

From hide to heirloom.
Every step by hand.

Leather selection
01

Leather Selection

Every journal begins with a single hide. Our leather specialist selects full-grain sheepskin by touch — feeling for the right density, natural grain, and character. Hides with imperfections are kept: they become the most interesting pieces.

Hand sculpting
02

Sculpting & Forming

The leather is dampened, stretched over a form, and worked by hand until it holds its shape. For 3D sculpted pieces, the artisan pushes the leather into relief from behind — a technique unchanged for centuries. No moulds. No machines. Just hands and patience.

Stitching

Stitching & Binding

Covers are stitched with waxed thread pulled by hand through pre-punched holes. The binding holds 70gsm antique chamois paper — cream-toned, acid-free, with a texture that makes writing feel like an event. Pages are sewn in signatures, not glued.

Hardware & Finishing

Antique brass clasps are fitted by hand. Each one is tested — the click and resistance checked, the patina inspected. The journal is then buffed, conditioned, and wrapped. From selection to shipping, no two journals pass through exactly the same hands in exactly the same way.
