Genuine Sheepskin Leather Journal, Blank Chamois Paper | Wrinkled Classic Frame | Antique Metal Motif | Heart Skeleton Key
Wrinkled Classic Frame & Antique Metal Motif Leather Journal
Crafted from premium genuine sheepskin leather, each journal begins as a raw material and is transformed entirely by hand. The cover is carefully measured, cut, and shaped by skilled artisans, then enhanced with a distinctive “Wrinkled Classic Frame” structure. This design blends structured elegance with organic leather folds, creating a balanced aesthetic between refinement and raw texture.
At the center, a heavy antique metal motif adds depth, character, and a sense of permanence. Combined with the handcrafted leather surface, the journal evokes the presence of a historical artifact, as if it has traveled through centuries. Inside, professionally stitched binding allows the journal to open fully flat at 180 degrees, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted writing experience.
Designed for writers, artists, fantasy enthusiasts, and lovers of vintage aesthetics, this journal offers more than function. It delivers a tactile experience where leather, metal, and paper come together in a timeless form. It is equally suited for daily journaling, sketching, or as a meaningful, long-lasting gift.
The leather used is vegetable-tanned and colored with natural root dyes, completely free from chrome and formaldehyde. Backed by university laboratory testing, it is safe for skin contact and environmentally conscious. Over time, the leather develops a unique patina, making each piece more personal with use.
The pages are made from uncoated, woodfree chamois paper in a warm yellow tone. This vintage-style paper reduces eye strain and complements the natural leather aesthetic. With a weight of 70 g/m² and 91% opacity, it provides a smooth surface for everyday writing tools such as ballpoint pens, gel pens, and pencils.
Each journal is entirely handcrafted. Variations in color tone, leather texture, and wrinkle depth are natural results of the process, making every piece one of a kind.

Made by hand. No two alike.
Every Vian journal passes through at least twelve pairs of hands before it reaches yours. Genuine full-grain leather, hand-sculpted and finished with antique brass hardware in our Antalya atelier.
Your customers don't
buy a journal.
They buy a feeling.
In a world of mass-produced notebooks, a Vian journal stops people in their tracks. The weight in the hand. The resistance of full-grain leather. The face staring back from the cover — sculpted by an artisan in Antalya who has been doing this for years. These are objects that demand to be picked up. And once picked up, they almost always sell themselves.
From hide to heirloom.
Every step by hand.

Leather Selection
Every journal begins with a single hide. Our leather specialist selects full-grain sheepskin by touch — feeling for the right density, natural grain, and character. Hides with imperfections are kept: they become the most interesting pieces.

Sculpting & Forming
The leather is dampened, stretched over a form, and worked by hand until it holds its shape. For 3D sculpted pieces, the artisan pushes the leather into relief from behind — a technique unchanged for centuries. No moulds. No machines. Just hands and patience.

Stitching & Binding
Covers are stitched with waxed thread pulled by hand through pre-punched holes. The binding holds 70gsm antique chamois paper — cream-toned, acid-free, with a texture that makes writing feel like an event. Pages are sewn in signatures, not glued.

Hardware & Finishing
Antique brass clasps are fitted by hand. Each one is tested — the click and resistance checked, the patina inspected. The journal is then buffed, conditioned, and wrapped. From selection to shipping, no two journals pass through exactly the same hands in exactly the same way.

Yes, genuinely. The hand-sculpting process combined with natural leather variation means every piece differs in texture, tone, and detail. This is not a marketing claim — it is a physical fact of how they are made. No two journals leave our atelier identical.
